Kiya Garden Scissors - Ikenobo

Prolong your flowers’ vibrancy with classic Japanese garden scissors

Traditionally used as scissors for ikebana and other forms of flower arrangement, scissors of this type have a long history in Japan. The curved pieces at the end of the handle are called warabi te; they are used for crushing the ends of hard stems in order to preserve cut flowers for longer. Acutely angled blades keep the fibers at cut ends from being compressed, allowing for better water absorption.
