Hinoki Bath Bucket

$ 86

Experience the serene beauty and calming aroma of Kii Mountain Hinoki with this exquisitely crafted wooden bucket. Merging precision craftsmanship with the natural durability and elegance of premium-grade Hinoki, this versatile piece is designed to enhance both function and style in your home.

Expertly handcrafted from Kii Hinoki, this lightweight yet exceptionally durable bucket is naturally water-resistant, ensuring longevity even in humid environments. Traditionally used for holding rinse water during bathing, it is carefully constructed by joining multiple thinly cut wooden slats, which are meticulously glued and sanded to form a seamless, uniform circular shape free of rough edges.

The structure is then reinforced with traditional copper rings, enhancing both its durability and its connection to timeless Japanese craftsmanship. Its sleek and compact size allows for effortless handling while preserving its elegant aesthetic. Beyond the bath, it serves as a stylish storage solution for toiletries, a tabletop cooler for Japanese sake or wine, or even a decorative piece that embodies the warmth of natural wood.

More than just a beautifully designed piece, the Hinoki Bath Bucket enriches your space with its refreshing, stress-relieving fragrance. Its natural antibacterial properties and superior moisture resistance make it an ideal addition to any bathroom, bringing both function and tranquility to your daily rituals.

Care
Hinoki wood products are left uncoated to highlight their natural beauty, unique grain, and distinct fragrance. Regular care is essential to prevent mold and stains, especially when used in humid areas. With proper maintenance, you can enjoy the lasting charm of your Hinoki products for years.

• When washing, rinse with lukewarm water using a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive pads as they may cause fine scratches.
• If using detergent, choose a mild or neutral one. Harsh detergents can cause black stains and discoloration.
• After washing, wipe thoroughly with a dry cloth and allow the Hinoki to air dry in a well-ventilated, low-humidity area.
• Avoid exposing Hinoki to high temperatures or direct sunlight as this can cause cracking and warping.
• For tough stains, gently sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper.
• Hinoki's resin may surface, resulting in stickiness. If bothersome, clean with a neutral detergent or rubbing alcohol.

Important Note:
If the copper rings become loose, add water to the bucket and let it sit until the wood absorbs enough moisture to expand, securing the rings back into place.
