Saito Wood Brand

Established in 1950 in the town of Kawanecho in Shizuoka Prefecture, Saito Wood creates products that blend seamlessly into your lifestyle.

This tray was made by employing the technique of molding plywood. To create molded plywood, raw wood is thinned to a thickness of 0.2 ~1 millimeter to form a veneer. Several veneers are then layered in turn vertically and then horizontally, and these veneers are set into a mold. Heat and pressure are applied to the veneers to create a shape patterned after the mold.
