Beloved by fans all over the world since their launch in 1974, these legendary scissors combine beauty with function, an outstanding design with exceptional sharpness. A recipient of the Japanese Good Design Award, this is the first Japanese product to be permanently stored at the Die Neue Sammlung design collection at the Pinakothek der Moderne, a museum for art, graphics, architecture, and design in Munich, Germany.
Hayashi CutleryMade of stainless steel, the design of these scissors features a curve that flows from blade to handles. Made by Hayashi Cutlery in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, the leading area in Japan for the production of bladed tools, each piece is carefully processed, assembled, and fine-tuned by a blade craftsman to assure exceptional sharpness and durability. In addition, the finger holes are ringed with rubber for comfort and ease of use. While these scissors may feel somewhat heavy at first, the smooth and graceful movement of the blades is addictive.
